In 1622 he was one of nine residents of Hespe who signed a complaint to the new Graf zu Schaumburg, Jobst Hermann, concerning high taxes being levied by the officer of the Stadthagen county. His connection as father of the
later Johan and Joachim Vehling is surmised.
